Difficult level: routes intended for people who have experience with snowshoes and are used to walking through the mountains. These are routes in which we will climb the most well-known and characteristic peaks of the Guadarrama National Park.. Long distances greater than 10 km, significant positive difference of more than 600 meters, possible technical steps and all day activity(of 7 a 9 hours).
You can choose between the following difficult level snowshoe routes:
- Navacerrada Port:
- Malicious Spike ,2227 meters: rvery well-known and well-known route since this peak is an icon of the Community of Madrid. We will leave Puerto Navacerrada(1860 m) direction to Pico Dos Castillas (2179 m) where we will find the highest rise. Once there we will go to another famous peak of the National Park, World Ball (2258 m), characteristic for its antennas and ski slope at its feet. From here, We will descend to Collado Piornal to access the path up to Pico de la Maliciosa (2227 m) and we will return along the same path.
- Port of Cotos:
- Peñalara Peak, 2428 meters: rAscension route to the highest peak in the Community of Madrid and the Guadarrama National Park, Peñalara peak 2428 meters, one of the most beautiful routes in the Sierra due to its wide views, both Segovia and Madrid, and its most similar place to high mountains in the Sierra. We will leave Puerto de Cotos on the way to the Zabala refuge, From here we will make a good climb to Hermana Menor and continue along the ridge until we reach the summit in Peñalara.. On the way down we will head towards Risco Claveles, where we will find an air passage. Later we will go down to the height of Laguna de los Pájaros where we will change direction and go in the direction of Laguna Grande, from where we will take the way down to the starting point.
